I took this photo from my balcony in Porza over four nights, gathering 20 hours of data. It’s of the Rosette Nebula’s center in the constellation Monoceros. This area is called “the zoo” because the dark dust clouds look like different animals—kind of like spotting shapes in clouds, but in space! The bright gases glow behind these dusty silhouettes, making for a really cool view. This spot is also busy with new stars being born, which makes it a pretty special part of our galaxy.
